Position summary:
The Network Administrator will be responsible for the management/ maintenance/ upkeep and connectivity of wired and wireless networks supporting CNIC.

Job duties include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)
Provide the day-to-day management of active networks.
Must be willing to provide on call coverage beyond normal working hours. This is not limited to nights, weekends,’ and holidays.
Must ensure all computers used for network monitoring and configuration receive most current patches and software upgrades.
Configure network components in accordance with accepted internal and industry standards.
Verify operation of configured items.
Establishes the alarm thresholds, method of notification and any other parameters deemed appropriate for network monitoring.
Must be able to develop and document processes for monitoring, troubleshooting, configuration of networks and network devices.
De-install or reinstall hardware and perform preventative maintenance on hardware.
Work with base N6 managers to support the program along with Tier III engineers.
Maintain base access and credentials for accessing sensitive locations.
Provide reporting on ticketing, status and inventory as requested.
Forecasting maintenance and working with N6 and CNIC Clients to minimize system outages and downtime.
Travel required to accomplish all duties and responsibilities.
Must be able to certify in using Articulating Man Lift and be comfortable installing, repairing, and troubleshooting equipment from this platform.
Stay current in OSHA 30 hr course and CPR certification.

Education and Experience:
Network experience – Must possess current experience managing an IP network
Industry standard network Certification. Juniper certification preferred
CompTIA Security+
CompTIA Net+
OSHA 30 hr
CPR Certificate
Experience with network monitoring software
Experience with hardware installations

Must have Six (6) years of experience in Networks and Communications include: Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Support, Test and Evaluation, and Logistics support of C4ISR requirements. Three (3) years of technical experience in support of Secure Voice Systems or ADNS. Must have a BS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering or Computer Science.

OR
Must have Ten (10) years of hands-on experience with Secure Voice Systems or ADNS, to include three (3) of the following four (4) areas: Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, and Training. Recognized expert who has demonstrated industry and public service leadership in C4ISR. Must have Technical Training in Secure/Non-Secure Networks Communications

This is a physically demanding position that requires employees to lift up to 60 lbs with or without assistance, climb vertical ladders and work from high heights in varying temperatures. Safety boots and PPE (eye protection) are required for this position. Hard hats are required when applicable.

Transportation: This position requires driving government owned, CTI owned, personal owned or
rental/leased vehicles for official CTI business. Employee must maintain driving eligibility throughout employment in accordance with state and local laws and the established CTI Vehicle Safety Policy.

Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance through a DoD NACLC background investigation. Employee must maintain eligibility throughout employment.
