Who we need:

We have an immediate need for a Full-Time Service Technician. We are seeking individuals who, first and foremost, enjoy a work-life balance but strive for professional development. The ideal individual would have a professional mindset, take pride in their work, be a self-starter, be able to work independently, be a team player, and treat our customers with the utmost respect. We are seeking someone who would enjoy working with Swimming Pool Repair, Swimming Pool Cleaning, and Swimming Pool Construction. We aim to train the right individual to grow with us in the swimming pool industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Occasional Pool Cleaning and chemical maintenance required.
  • Manage a swimming pool route that includes cleaning swimming pools and managing a daily schedule of equipment repair tasks.
  • Properly adjust the water chemistry for each pool assigned.
  • Ensure proper care of company vehicles by keeping them well-maintained, clean, and stocked.
  • The ability to manage an inventory of equipment on the truck and adequately utilize and replenish the inventory when needed.
  • Minor repair and installation of pool pumps, heaters, filters, timers, pool cleaners, blowers, lights, automated pool systems, chlorinators, & PVC plumbing.
  • Install new pool equipment and provide warranty repairs.
  • Accurately document all services performed in a user-friendly app.
  • Proactively identify potential maintenance items.
  • Communicate with team members, management, and clients professionally and effectively.
  • Effectively interact with clients providing service, recommendations, and general guidance.
  • Maintain high standards in customer service with professional and ethical conduct.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, including safe working and driving habits.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driving record will need to be acceptable to our insurance company, no major offenses (recent DUI, reckless/negligent driving, hit & run, etc.).
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and initial drug screening.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service skills – enjoys speaking with clients face to face. No selling is required.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to perform efficiently with little direction.
  • Team player who is honest with a positive attitude.
  • Have a Smartphone.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
  • A serious commitment to professional growth and a team working environment.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to comfortably lift and carry 50 pounds, perhaps multiple times in a day.
  • Ability to work outside in most weather conditions.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk frequently.
  • Take pride in your work and be open to learning a new skill.

Encouraged (but not required) Technical Skills:

  • Curious about how things work.
  • Knowledge of 110-volt and 220-volt electrical equipment.
  • Knowledge of Low Voltage communication.
  • Certified Pool Operator License.
  • Diagnose, repair, and replace swimming pool equipment, including motors, filters, timers, pool cleaners, blowers, pool lights, automated pool systems, chlorinators, backwash valves, PVC plumbing, copper plumbing, and galvanized plumbing.
  • Knowledge of water chemistry.
  • Knowledge of Concrete Pool Construction.
  • Knowledge of Pool Repair.
