Served three years in the United States Army, Bravo Company, 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division(LI). Honorably Discharged and awarded the Army Achievement Medal for Meritorious Service as a saw gunner and team leader. The Military taught me work ethic, discipline, integrity, respect, loyalty, duty, honor, personal courage and selfless service, which have been implemented throughout my entire life and career. Exceptionally organized, efficient, effective, and have outstanding interpersonal skills. Performs well in stressful situations, while effectively and efficiently able to prioritize workloads in order to meet departmental needs and deadlines. Earned an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice, as well as a Bachelor’s in Business Management, as well as Bachelors in Accounting. These degrees taught me to communicate effectively, efficiently, and proficiently, as well as being proficient in the law, contracts, policy, accounting, managing budgets, analyzing reports, procurements, acquisitions, and reconciling budgets.

Utilize Excel to establish queries for reports, as well as functional formulas to import data from external sources effectively and efficiently
Reconcile reports to include payroll, expense accounts, benefit debts, receivables, unapplied deposits, and undelivered orders
Provide direct guidance to timekeepers, budget analysts, technicians and payroll clerks
Perform accounting analysis for management pertaining to activities which occurred during the given period
Responsible for matters pertaining to the implementation of daily operations pertaining to accounting systems, established under General Accountability Office (GAO) regulations controlled by 4, Part V policy manual
Responsible for the development and implementation of electronic applications and spreadsheets within the Support Services Division and the Regional Office
Prepare systematic analysis of operations, internal control review and other division reports
Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
Ability to understand and implement Accounting Functions
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) sufficient to manage accounting functions.
Knowledge and expertise in financial systems, databases, and office applications.
Skilled in interpreting and analyzing fiscal data, reports, and modifying records.
Resolving fiscal discrepancies/issues and developing and implementing fiscal policies and procedures.
Experience and expertise working with Statewide Integrated Financial Tools (SWIFT), Budget Planning and Analysis System (BPAS), Appropriation Maintenance Application (AMA), software applications, and/or other large accounting systems.
Functional knowledge and understanding of DHS chart of accounts, account structure, budgets, programs, grants, organizational structure and DHS’ Public Assistance Cost Allocation Plan (PACAP).
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and SharePoint.
Ability to be able to read, interpret, and apply state and federal regulations and directives.
Ability to plan, organize, and successfully manage competing priorities
