Award-winning and veteran-owned relocation company headquartered in Lorton, Virginia, seeks full-time Field Trainer/Quality Control Inspector with excellent organizational and leadership skills to train employees and assess performance both in-house and in the field. As a Field Trainer/Quality Control Inspector your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • Works closely with Operations Department to coordinate on-site quality control inspections and provides remedial training and/or counseling sessions to employees who exhibit substandard performance
  • Evaluates employee performance to produce customer satisfaction scores in accordance with company standards
  • Conducts time in motion studies to ensure packing and loading crews are working at an acceptable pace without sacrificing the quality of work performed
  • Upholds and enforces various regulations and corporate policies/procedures for compliance
  • Documents and maintains records of quality control inspections and employee performance assessments
  • Coaches and mentors employees to continually improve and grow with the company
  • Interacts with customers and employees to elicit a positive relocation and work experience
  • Demonstrates and trains employees on proper packing, moving, customer service, and driving techniques
  • Analyzes records to identify trends concerning employee performance, customer satisfaction, and safety and takes action to continually improve results

NOTE: This is a physically demanding and hands-on training position which incorporates both field instruction to household goods movers and quality control inspections at various job sites throughout the metropolitan area.

Requirements:

  • A valid CDL A driver’s license (or the ability and motivation to obtain one)
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations
  • 2+ yrs experience in the household goods (HHG) and/or relocation industry
  • Demonstrated training experience along with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • A positive, leadership-oriented attitude with an ability to motivate others
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Drug free with no criminal history
  • Reliable transportation to/from work at our Lorton, VA facility (NOTE: Position is located in Lorton and we are NOT metro accessible)
